Built for concrete & construction estimators
Takeoffs you can stand behind.
BuildQuote is a paid estimator for construction companies worldwide. Type the m² from a tape, or upload the plan, set the scale, and tap the slab. Same package rate either way. We do not pretend a model reads the PDF for you. Every formula stays visible, editable, and honest.
Seven days. No card in v1. Demo login is on the sign-in page.

A = 2 × (12.40 + 8.20) × 0.31
V = (12.40 × 8.20 × 0.310) − (54 × 1.09 × 1.09 × 0.225)
Type it or measure the plan
Type the m², or upload the drawing, set the scale, and tap the slab. Same package rate either way. Extras (pump, drop edge) sit on top. We do not pretend a model reads the PDF for you.
Helpers, not guesses
Perimeter formwork, mesh area, pod grids, waffle voids, drop edge beams. You type lengths. The formula does the rest.
Your rates, your quote
Each company saves rates in its own currency — / m², / kg, / m³ and pods each. Estimates show qty × rate. A job can override the company book without touching Settings.
Concrete first
Takeoff modules. Other trades later.
Concrete
LiveFormwork, reinforcement, waffle pods, cubic metres, piers and extras (drop edges, beams, voids) for residential and light commercial slabs.
- Package rateAll-in rate per m² — concrete, mesh and colour sit inside this number. Extras on top are separate.
- Extras on topCharged on top of the package rate — excavation, line pump, drop edges, step-downs.
- FormworkContact area of edge form, beam sides and vertical faces.
- Steel / reinforcementMesh sheets and bar mass in kilograms, with laps.
- Waffle podsCount and coverage of polystyrene waffle pods, including a grid helper.
- Concrete volumeCubic metres for slabs, waffle rafts, beams and footings.
- Piers / pieringBored piers, square pads, liner contact and cage steel. Volume from πr²h or L×W×D — you type the dims.
- Extras / special itemsDrop edge beams, thickenings, rebates, voids, stairs and custom items. Bored and pad piers live on the Piers tab.
Earthworks
ComingCut, fill, site scrape and trench volumes — planned next vertical.
Framing
ComingWall frames, roof trusses and steel SHS — not in v1.
Estimation honesty
If we cannot show the formula, it does not ship.
Waste percentages, pod sizes, mesh kg/m² and bar kg/m sit in settings. Change them and every line recalculates. That is the product — not a black box reading a PDF. It is an estimation aid only. You check quantities on site before you order or pour.
Rectangle face: A = L × H
Closed perimeter: A = 2 × (L + W) × H
Waste: A_net = A × (1 + waste%)
Steel: n × L × 0.006165 × d²
Waffle: (L × W × overall) − (n × pod L × W × H)
Drop edge: n × L × width × extra depth
Bored pier: n × π × r² × H
How a job runs
01
Open a job
Name, client, site address (any country), dates. Only your company sees it. No plan upload on this step.
02
Type the sizes or measure the plan
Type the m², or upload the drawing, set the scale, and tap the slab. Then extras on top — pump, excavation, drop edge. Detailed takeoff is still there if you need mesh and pods.
03
Export the quote
Print or CSV from the measurement schedule. The money comes from the area you typed or measured, times your package rate.
Trial is seven days and three jobs. Pro is A$40 / month per company. Stripe checkout is still a stub.
